Below is a time-lapse from the International Space Station. This video footage was taken by Colonel Jeff Williams, who has seen first hand what it is like to orbit the earth. He has orbited the earth over 2,800 times, more than any person in history and has also captured more photographs of earth than any person in history. You can view his 2006 photos and biblical reflections and commentary in the book The Work of His Hands: A View of God’s Creation from Space.
As I watch this amazing video I cannot help but think of the words from Psalm 24:
"The earth is the Lord's, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers." (NASB)
